Since graduating from the London Film School and the Department of Education, University of Oxford, Dr. Taylor has dedicated his career to Film Education, specializing in curricular planning, story design and screenwriting.


During that time he has been book author, conference speaker, teacher, mentor, workshop leader, university lecturer, consultant and recent Professor of Film. Alan also holds a BA joing. hons from Keele University, a Masters of Education Degree from the Institute of Education, UCL, and a Dr. phil from the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, Germany.

Collaborations have included Film Haus Frankfurt/Main, Cinemasports USA, the Council of Higher Education, South Africa, and CILECT (below).

Dr. Taylor has been 2012- 2017 project leader, co-editor, and contributor of The 21st Century Film, TV and Media School from CILECT – The International Association of Film and Television Schools. His introductory book chapter is titled Film School, And How It Can Save Us. The book (10 chapters,  476 pp) is now available as an e-book HERE.
